Join Us for a Tasting With New Day Coffee Roasters
Saturday, April 22, 2017
Stop by this Saturday, April 22, (8am to 11am) and meet Russ Zettle, owner and coffee roaster from New Day Coffee in Wheatfield, NY. All of his coffee is roasted in small batches to bring out the best flavor for each type of bean. Many of New Day coffees come from small farms so they know the farmers are being paid a fair price for their hard work (Direct Trade, Fair Trade, Organic). Sample different roasts and chat with Russ! Perfect with your favorite pastry or croissant.

LynOaken Farms crisp and juicy bagged apples (Crispin, Empire, Fuji, Gala). LynOaken Farms, located in Orleans County, has been owned and operated by the Oakes Family since 1919.
From LynOaken Farms:
Crispin – Bite into a Crispin for a great crunch and mouthful of sweet juice. It’s one of the most satisfying snacks around!
Empire – With the popular Red Delicious and McIntosh for parents, Empire apples were destined to be a hit. It’s a sweet-tart combination that’s great for everything.
Fuji – Wow! What a great snacking apple! Fuji apples have it all-super sweet, super juicy and super crisp.
Gala – Another apple made for kids is the Gala, it’s got the mild flavor that “picky eaters” prefer and a striking bright yellow-red color that attracts the eye! Gala apples are fairly resistant to bruising and are sweet, grainy, with a mild flavor and a thinner skin than most apples.

Buffalo brewed Bootleg Bucha uses a special blend of green and black teas in their kombucha. From Bootleg, “Our kombucha is made with a special blend of green and black teas. The tea is brewed, and then a SCOBY (Symbiotic Colony of Bacteria and Yeast) is added on top of the tea, initiating the fermentation process. After a few weeks the fermented tea is flavored and kegged. The result is a healthy beverage that is slightly tart, and full of probiotics, amino acids and antioxidants.
The benefits of drinking kombucha include:
1.Digestion- Good for ulcers, heartburn, and overall digestion due to beneficial bacteria from probiotics.
2.Joint Care- Contains glucosamine, which increases synovial hyaluronic acid production. Hyaluronic acid is responsible for the lubrication and flexibility in joints. Also supports healthy collagen production.
3.Detoxification- Glucuronic acid is beneficial to the liver, it binds toxins and helps to excrete them.
4.Energy- Includes B vitamins that increase energy, while acetic acid and polyphenols boost the metabolism.
Daily intake of kombucha is recommended to begin at 6-8 oz. per day, either in the morning or after a meal throughout your day. As you begin to enjoy the detoxifying benefits of kombucha, it is recommended you drink plenty of water to help flush your system. As your body and digestive system start to function at a more balanced level, you can increase the consumption of kombucha as much as you like. One of the great features of this beverage is that it not only has fantastic health benefits but tastes amazing too!”
